I can see where you are going with this idea. However, I feel as if the blank wall adds unneeded background, it takes away from the focus on Emma.
Originality: 3/5
Maybe if you experimented with color, shadows, light, you could really take advantage of the quizzical look on her face and accent her natural beauty using the lights from the windows, and perhaps moving the windows to the center or left location of the frame.
Technique: 4/5
The wall takes away from the intended focus, and the light coming from the window is not used properly, in terms of shadow or spot-lighting effect on Emma. The image would work better if the eye were drawn directly to Emma.
I do, however, like the pose and the confidence of the image you chose to use for your background.
Impact: 5/5
There is something about the image that stays with me and brings me back to look at it, even months after favoriting. There's something in her expression that truly captures my attention.

However, even if not requested, I think it's part of dA's culture to review works, and I figure that if I favorite the work the artist/author has a right to know how the work is coming across. Also, I am trying to promote and encourage others to give detailed feedback past "this is so great" or "i don't like this," as those types of comments rarely help an artist. Also, sometimes I leave critique in hopes that I can learn from the artist/author some technique to use in the future, as some artists have corrected me and told me what technique they used and so on.
